Who may register?
Any Hong Kong permanent resident aged 18 and above who ordinarily resides in Hong Kong is eligible to sign up as an elector.

Register online via the GovHK website, www.gov.hk, if you are holding a valid personal digital certificate |
If your form reaches us by 16 July (for DC Election Year) or 16 May (for non DC Election Year), your registration records may be included in the final register of electors, which is published on or before 25 September (for DC Election Year) or 25 July (for non DC Election Year) every year.

Under the law, you are required to provide true and accurate information when completing the voter registration form. |

You are encouraged to provide or update your email address on a voluntary basis. The email address will be provided to the candidates concerned for the purpose of sending election advertisements. |

If you do not wish to receive election advertisements sent by candidates, please call 2891 1001 to update your records. Your preference will be conveyed to the candidates at the elections. |

Functional Constituency Electors and Election Committee Subsector Voters
Who may register?
If you are eligible to be registered as a functional constituency (FC) elector (except District Council (Second) FC), you must also apply to be registered as an Election Committee (EC) subsector voter (either a corresponding subsector or an optional subsector). Replacement of Authorized Representatives
A corporate elector/voter may replace its authorized representative (AR) from time to time. The new AR must be a registered geographical constituency elector and has a substantial connection with the body, e.g. being a member, partner, officer or employee of the body. No individual shall be appointed as an AR:
-
in respect of the FC -
| i) |
by more than one corporate elector; or |
| ii) |
if he has been registered as an individual elector in the same FC in which the corporate body has been registered or has applied to be registered.

in respect of the EC subsector -
| i) |
by more than one corporate voter; or |
| ii) |
if he has been registered as an individual voter in the same subsector in which the corporate body has been registered or has applied to be registered. |
How to replace an AR?

Complete the form below and send it to reach us not later than 14 days before the polling date for the FC or subsector concerned.

Appeals
Corporate electors/voters may lodge appeals to the Electoral Registration Officer for not registering persons appointed by them as their replacement/substitute authorized representatives. Such an appeal has to be lodged with the Electoral Registration Officer in person by the appellant by completing the specified form below:
